The Story of Loom

June 2021
Founder Tyler decides he wants to try his hand at automating and optimizing a custom-built indoor farming setup at his home, for fun.
November 2021
Tyler's first aeroponic prototype is built, but there is no intent to build a business yet. However, the prototype is capable of measuring the change in mass of the plants as they are growing, which helped gather data on the effect of nutrient-density, pH levels, and lighting recipes on the growth of crops.

June 2022
The idea to condense the prototype into an appliance/furniture looking package. This needed to be visually appealing and refined, he thought.

At first, Tyler believed he was the first to come up with this idea, he later realized that Loom has competition. That's OK, we will use their limitations to propel our design and business model further.

December 2022
Meer and Manolya begin working with Tyler more regularly. In Manolya's words, "He wasn't ready when we first met. However, I witnessed him progress immensely on his own. At that point, I couldn't help but to become inspired by his vision and determination."

Our first pitch to a crowd of 50+ interested individuals from our area. What an achievement! Now, time to get product-market-fit.
